Yet another Raspberry Pi project idea is a camera. It may sound boring, but a camera connected to a computer could have all the features of a standard point-and-shoot camera, plus many more! Some of these awesome features could include:
Tethered shooting - Some of the more expensive cameras offer this function. It allows you to connect your camera to your computer and use the camera from said computer. It's an incredibly useful feature, but using a Raspberry Pi, one can make it even better by making the tethering feature wireless.
Image Upload - Once again, some of the more expensive cameras these days can connect to your WiFi and upload images to online services such as Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive, or even straight to your own computer. With a Raspberry Pi and a bit of code, you could send your pictures anywhere on the Internet.
Time lapsing - Almost all cameras these days come with a feature like this standard, however they can be limited in function. With a Raspberry Pi, however, you would be able to tell you Pi exactly when to take the photos. Once every second? Twice a day? Once a month? The Pi could do that.
If you’re bored with one feature of your camera, just dream up something else and shape it to your will! No other camera on the market offers that customisability.
